I was involved an a car accident as a passenger in an Uber. I have been unable to retain a lawyer to help me navigate this process.
The insurance company for Uber is making me a settlement offer and I have no idea what to do next. I don't know if the amount they're offering is reasonable, I don't know how to make sure that I am not being taken advantage of by signing any documentation, I really have no idea how to proceed.
At this point, I'm reaching out to anyone who might be able to point me in the right direction.
Thank you
You don't say why you have been unable to retain a lawyer -the insurance carrier may be trying to "low-ball" your settlement offer because you are unrepresented.
